It integrates naturally into the broader Boomi ecosystem, emphasizing ease-of-use for current Boomi users and incremental AI automation within data and integration-heavy pipelines.

StackAI is built for enterprise AI agent development, enabling any team to create full-featured agents with granular governance, secure deployment, and customizable user interfaces.

So how do these platforms compare when it comes to real-world usage? Let’s break it down.

TL;DR Comparison

Agent Builder

StackAI offers a dedicated no-code, drag-and-drop Workflow Builder for creating full AI agents. Each agent can span multiple steps, use top LLMs, conditional logic, tools like Web Search and Create Slides, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise tools like SAP and Sharepoint. Workflow Builder provides tons of pre-built templates, while Chat with Workflow allows users to describe an idea in natural language and instantly generate an AI workflow.

Boomi Agentstudio allows users to embed AI steps inside Boomi integration flows: AI capabilities are integrated with the broader Boomi iPaaS system. Users can describe an agent in natural language and generate flows and access pre-built workflows primarily designed within and around Boomi's integration logic. Users are instructed to write specific instructions for each agent. 

Agent Flexibility

StackAI offers full LLM flexibility. Users choose from top providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, Meta, Mistral, and more. StackAI also offers 100+ native integrations with existing enterprise tools like Sharepoint, SAP, Workday, and more. 

Boomi Agentstudio enables users to design prompt flows and shape AI agent behavior within Boomi’s environment. There are also pre-built integrations with tools like Shopify, Gmail, and Google Sheets. However, it does not currently support native integration with external LLM providers. Other AI agents that utilize LLMs can instead be purchased from the Boomi Agent Marketplace, or provided through other platforms like Amazon Bedrock. 

Interfaces and Deployment

StackAI lets users export agents as Slack bots, internal tools, public or website chatbots, forms, embeddable widgets, a batch process, and more. Users can customize the interface and style it to match their brand with ease. 

Boomi Agentstudio does not currently offer exportable UI elements or custom interfaces. Agents are limited to a chat and conversational-style interface on the Boomi platform and flow designer, designed primarily for internal automation and data orchestration rather than external-facing agent experiences. 

While agents can be integrated within existing Boomi workflows, they cannot be exported with customized interfaces for use outside of the Boomi platform.

Governance and Security

Both platforms support SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance. StackAI adds further enterprise controls, such as audit logs, Role-Based Access Controls, Single Sign-On via providers like Okta, project publishing restriction options, and feature access controls—designed specifically for regulated and document-sensitive industries. Boomi Agentstudio offers advertised security guardrails for individual AI agents (must be specified explicitly) and compliance certifications, including responsible AI tooling and audit trails, but detailed configurations for RBAC, SSO, and more are not currently documented. Boomi does provide a dashboard to view AI agent activity in one place. 

Both StackAI and Boomi Agentstudio have options for on-premise deployment. 

Data and Document Handling

StackAI excels in document-heavy use cases. It supports native Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), connecting to Google Drive, Confluence, SharePoint, Notion, PDFs and more through a Knowledge Base. The Knowledge Base node serves as a search engine over files, allowing LLMs to retrieve the precise context to perform any given task effectively. This means that AI agents can easily extract information, summarize topics, analyze PDFs or photos (via OCR), provide document-based responses, and more.

Boomi Agentstudio does not yet advertise native support for RAG pipelines or document-level reasoning out-of-the-box. Integration with documents would likely need to be configured using Boomi's broader iPaaS and connector systems.
